This drop in class is for the seasoned biker, as well as those new to indoor cycling seeking a good workout. The instructor will lead the group through warm-ups, drills, intervals, as well as strength and endurance building techniques.
Group Rides

These are informal Do It Yourself sessions where you can ride at your own pace. A group leader will have the A/V system running and answer equipment questions. Note: the Monday evening ride will be CrossFit Endurance-inspired. After the ride, the instructor will lead a short CrossFit strength training session for interested participants.

6 Tuesdays, 6:00 – 7:00 PM January 31 – March 6
Whether you are planning a full racing season, aspire to finish your first century or just want to feel fit when spring arrives, this 6-week program will provide you with a diverse performance toolbox, including: knowledge of training using power zones, improved pedaling efficiency, nutrition and breathing techniques; practice at tempo, muscle tension, sweet spot and VO2 max intervals. Group Time Trial

Power Testing or Orientation Session

Customize a stationary bike fit and receive a computer and indoor cycling tutorial; or, test to determine your personal power profile and receive consultation on training goals.
Costs
If you are a Confluence member, there is no charge for the self-use of a bike during open gym hours or to participate in a group ride.
If you are not a Confluence member, an $8 day-use rate applies for the self-use of a bike or participation in a group ride.
If you are taking a class, you can apply a class from your membership (basic or unlimited), punch card or pay the drop in class rate ($8 for members and $12 for non-members).
If you are not a Confluence member, you can buy a monthly Cycling Center-only membership for $25 and use the bikes during open gym hours or join a group ride. Classes are an additional $8 (member rate).
The 6-week cycling programs are $100 for Confluence and Cycling Center members and $125 for non-members. Includes 6 classes, testing for power zones, materials, and instructor time.
Individual time trial: $10 for Confluence members; $15 for non-members; Series of four: $25 for Confluence members; $35 for non-members
Power Testing: $30 for one hour

What will I find in the Cycling Center?
The Cycling Center has six 300 PRO Cyclops stationary bikes and one 400 model. Each bike is equipped with a computer (called a joule-see description below), which has the capacity to measure heart rate, cadence, speed and power output. The bikes are highly adjustable and computers can be used to do very specific workouts.
Riders are welcome to utilize the Cycling Center’s audio-visual equipment:
• Television with wifi connection (for accessing online movies, videos and internet radio)
• DVD player
• Stereo with surround speakers
• Cycling and sports video library
The Cycling Center has five PowerBeam trainers (requiring personal bike). These are only available to those who have been oriented through previous cycling programs. Orientations can be scheduled with Cycling Coach Andrew McCullough. There is no on-site bike storage at the Berlin facility.
